    A Killer Stance with Farinaz Lari

    Learn the basics of kickboxing in this dynamic practice with world-champion Farinaz Lari. Find your stance and rhythm before learning the fundamental strikes: the Jab, Cross, Knee Strike, and Front Kick. Once you’re confident with these movements, explore powerful new combinations in between targeted conditioning exercises. A Killer Stance includes rounds of the following Conditioning, Core, and cardio exercises between kickboxing drills: Skipping, Plank Walk and Shoulder Touch, Squat and Knee, Russian Twists, and Sit Up and Punches. Get grounded and strong with these upper body, lower body, and core moves.

Teacher Profile

Farinaz Lari

 Farinaz Lari is a dedicated athlete, motivational coach, and influential leader. Her competitive spirit and tireless passion became the foundation for a lifelong kickboxing career, fueling her to become the first Iranian and Canadian woman to win the WAKO world kickboxing championship, teach kickboxing internationally, and become a BCRPA Personal Trainer. From her first class at the age of 18 she set her sights on greatness, and has pushed boundaries in every aspect of her personal performance and professional aspirations. With an elite national K-1 title under her belt and current division ranking of 5th in the world, Farinaz continues to channel her love for movement and teaching into leading and training at District Warrior, the Muay Thai studio she co-founded with her husband, Ali Khanjari. She challenges herself mentally and physically with running, hiking, yoga, public speaking, running a business, and staying engaged in her community. Beyond personal goals and excellence in kickboxing, Farinaz leads the charge as a motivational speaker and mentor for women in sport, embracing a strong yet humble voice and motivational movement journey to empower every individual to start where they are and discover their inner champion.

Behind the Creative Process

Bringing Kickboxing Foundations to life was a collaboration between Farinaz and the NM team. Farinaz welcomed the opportunity to share her knowledge, experience, and expression through this process. Working with supportive, like-minded creatives who shared her passion and energy helped to make this program what it is. Kickboxing Foundations with Farinaz Lari was created to make kickboxing accessible, and challenge what you think you can do to discover your inner champion all while having fun. This program was made for you, wherever you find yourself, with a lot of sweat, hard work, and care. We hope you step into the ring eager to learn, and finish your practice feeling stronger and more confident than when you started.
